Seminar 1: how to write research proposal.

Abstract: In this talk, I will compare three countries (China, USA, and Canada) in the aspect of writing a research proposal. I will then outline a generic model for any research proposal.

Date: May 8, 2018

Time: 1 – 2 pm

Seminar 2: soft robotics: research directions.

Abstract: In this talk, I will provide a definition to soft robotics and then present the dimension of challenges or problems in soft robotics. Finally, I will discuss on going researches in soft robotics in my group.

Date: May 29, 2018

Time: 1 –2 pm

Seminar 3: integrated design and control approach to complex systems.

Abstract: In this talk, I will review our past study on the integrated design and control of mechatronic systems. I will then extend this approach to a much broader context, that is integrated design and operation management to complex systems.
